Chess Tournament Information
Location: West Collierville Middle School Cafeteria - 1101 N Byhalia Rd, Collierville, TN 38017
Parking: Bus Loop - Enter the entrance from New Byhalia Road.
Ticket Cost: $10 General Admission; $8 Discounted Admission (Discounted Admission is granted to those who bring either a chess board or clock (or both!) and is approved by BetterNature. The Google Forms must be completed before the event date.)
Timings: 11AM - 2PM (Lunch sold during event)

Tournament Process
Round 1
- 5-minute 1 on 1 Blitz matches
- 3 total games for each player
- 32 total players (split into Block A & B - 16 players each)
- Top 8 players from each block with the highest win:loss ratio
move on to Round 2
- Approximately 90 minutes (time may change)
- 5-minute break between each round
Round 2
- 10-minute 1 on 1 matches
- Single-game elimination
- 16 total players (8 players from Block A & B)
- Top 4 players from each block with the highest win:loss ratio
move on to Semi-Finals
- Approximately 20 minutes (time may change)
- 5-minute break
Semi-Finals
- 10-minute 1 on 1 matches
- Single-game elimination
- 8 total players (4 players from Block A & B)
- Top 2 players from each block with the highest win:loss ratio
move on to Finals
- Approximately 20 minutes (time may change)
- 5-minute break
Finals
- 10-minute 1 on 1 matches
- Single-game elimination
- 4 total players (2 players from Block A & B)
- Winner of each block moves on to Grand Finals
- Approximately 20 minutes (time may change)
- 5-minute break
Grand-Finals
- 10-minute 1 on 1 match
- Single-game elimination
- The winner of each block battle each other
- Winner of the Grand-Finals is crowned the Grand Champion!
- Approximately 20 minutes (time may change)
- 5-minute break
